Brandon Berendt

Over the last ten-plus years I have been serving God in Tijuana in various capacities alongside different ministries. From volunteering, to leading a ministry, to working full-time for a ministry, I have handled many different roles. The majority of the last ten-plus years I have partnered with Mexico Caravan Ministries, which builds basic structures for families in need and exposes young adults to missions globally. I started as a volunteer and finished leading a ministry out of the church. I eventually worked full-time in Tijuana for three and a half years doing building and vehicle maintenance. In other years working in ministry full-time, I have had the privilege to collaborate with different organizations.

Currently, I am an ESL Teacher with an organization called Unity 4 Orphans. I visit different orphans during the week to teach English to the children. The children's ages range from three to fifteen years old, and I see about thirty to forty children each week. Additionally, I have the privilege of collaborating with a local church. I help with the renovation of the church's Ranch with different construction projects.

My story started when I was born and raised in San Diego, California, to loving parents Barry and Jackie. I am one of three children. During my childhood I was involved in music and sports at a very early age. I loved doing different projects with my father ranging from cleaning to remodeling rooms in the house. At a very early age, I loved working with my hands. The majority of the things I know about construction I learned from him while growing up. As a child, we did not attend church. I started attending church at fifteen years old and fell in love with the person of Jesus Christ. Since then I have been involved with different churches, groups, and ministries. Throughout my time in ministry with the local and global church, God has shown me different ways to advance the gospel by sharing His love.

In conclusion, I am enthusiastic about serving God through ministry and collaborating with different organizations to share His love. I find joy in teaching English to orphans and helping with construction projects at a local church. If you are interested in partnering with ministries in Tijuana, please reach out, and I would be happy to connect you with different organizations.
