Brandon Berendt

Over the past decade, I have been actively engaged in various ministries, serving God in Tijuana in various capacities. I have undertaken diverse roles throughout this period, from volunteering to ministry leadership and full-time service. In particular, the bulk of my service over the last ten-plus years has been in collaboration with Mexico Caravan Ministries, an organization that seeks to construct basic structures for families in need and provide young adults with opportunities for global mission exposure. My journey with this ministry began with volunteering, progressed to the leadership of a ministry, and culminated with my full-time employment in Tijuana for three and a half years, focused on building and vehicle maintenance. In the course of my tenure as a full-time ministry worker, I have had the privilege of collaborating with various organizations.

Presently, I serve as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with Unity 4 Orphans, an organization that seeks to provide English language instruction to children in orphanages and community centers. I teach English to children aged between three and fifteen years old, with a monthly student load of approximately 166 children. Additionally, I collaborate with the local church, providing construction project support, specifically with the renovation of the church's Ranch.

My journey began in San Diego, California, where I was born and raised in a loving family comprising my parents, Barry and Jackie, and two siblings. During my formative years, I was actively involved in music and sports. I developed a love for construction work and working with my hands, and acquired most of my construction knowledge from my father through various projects around the home. Although we did not attend church during my childhood, I began attending church at the age of fifteen and became enamored with the person of Jesus Christ. Since then, I have been involved in different churches, groups, and ministries, where I have been privileged to share God's love and learn various ways of advancing the gospel.

In conclusion, I am passionate about serving God through ministry and collaborating with different organizations to share His love. Teaching English to orphans and participating in construction projects to support the local church provides me with immense joy. If you are interested in partnering with ministries in Tijuana, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, and I will be delighted to connect you with various organizations.
